COVID – 19

Covid-19: What we’re doing to keep our restaurant safe.

Safety has always been our number one priority. Making sure that our restaurant is safe, with comfortable spaces for our team to work and our guests to order and dine is the most important work that we do.
In the last few months we have closely followed government advice and will continue to do so as lockdown measures ease.
Below is a summary of the actions we are taking. We will keep this list up to date as any further changes are made.
The Raj Restaurant is open for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery.
Our restaurant is open for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, with open-air seating areas available for guests to dine in.

Track & Trace.
Our restaurant has Track & Trace solutions and we advise everyone to check-in when they arrive at our restaurant. These work by registering their details which are logged by date.
Contact-free ways to order.
We have introduced digital ordering with contact-free collection in our restaurant for any guests who feel more comfortable ordering this way.
Hand sanitising units in restaurant.
Free-to-use auto dispensing hand sanitiser stations are located for use at entry points and sanitiser units at every area are also located where a possible handover may take place such as a counter or a bar.
Enhanced Cleaning.
We are paying even more attention to keeping our restaurant clean and safe. Our team members are washing their hands more regular than usual, applying hand sanitiser, and adhering to strict cleaning rotas.
Space.
We have increased the size of the kitchen space and reduced / spaced out team member section numbers.
We have spaced out the kitchen section areas so that team members working in our kitchens can work 2m apart.
Wellbeing checks.
We are checking in with all our team members before every shift to make sure they feel fit and well.
Face coverings and distance.
We encourage customers to wear a face covering when people collect takeaways. If they choose to dine in they can remove their face covering once they are seated at a table. Our staff have been trained to remain distant from the public and each other as much as possible.
Social distancing signage.
The restaurant has social distancing signage and markers to help guests navigate our new-look safety environment.
Training.
All of our teams have been re-trained in the importance of safety and hygiene and we continue to train as new government advice is issued. This includes all aspects including service and delivery handover with orders being placed at the doorstep to ensure contactless service.
Non-essential equipment removed.
We have removed all non-essential equipment from our restaurants to create more space.
Queuing management.
We are managing queues in restaurant to maintain safe distancing.
Maximum number of customers at one time.
We have reviewed the amount of space in our restaurant and each one now has careful monitoring of the number of guests who can be inside at any time. This process includes not accepting reservations for the drinks area so entry can be refused to maintain social distancing.
